A Weekend Celebrating the Art of Storytelling

The 23rd annual Three Apples Storytelling Festival will take place in the Colonial-era town of Bedford, Massachusetts.  This outstanding Festival showcases 20 performers from New England.  This three-day storytelling event features many events – both free and ticketed – geared to every age group.

For those who can't wait, a number of Library Preview Performances will take place in August and September.  Enjoy free storytelling in your community.  Eighteen towns surrounding Bedford are hosting free storytelling performances in their libraries to preview this year’s Festival.

Our Family Festival takes place Saturday, September 29, 10:00am-5:15pm.  Adults and children of all ages will enjoy this storytelling extravaganza!  With separate performances for pre-schoolers, elementary aged children and adults, there’s something for everyone in the family.

Saturday evening, September 29, join us for an Adult Evening with Bill Harley at 7:00pm. At 8:30pm, enjoy Down Home Humor with Onawumi Jean Moss and Leeny Del Seamonds.

On Sunday, September 30, at 10am and 1pm we will have Master Classes with Onawumi Jean Moss and Leeny Del Seamonds.  Experience two hours of intimate learning with this year's featured master tellers.  Classes limited to 25 students each.

Also on Sunday at 11am, experience a rare opportunity for intergenerational learning at the Adult/Child Workshop with Bill Harley.   Class is limited to 25 adult/child pairs.  New this year!

Leeny Del Seamonds will be providing Master Coaching Wednesday, September 26 at 7:30pm and Sunday, September 30 at 9:30am.  Here's your chance to spend 2 intense hours working on your storytelling skills with only 2 other participants.  Each participant will receive one-on-one coaching for 40 minutes while the other two participants can observe. (SOLD OUT)

This year the Festival takes place on and around the Bedford Town Common and at the John Glenn Middle School. Parking is free and the Festival is handicapped accessible. Tickets are available in advance, or during the Festival on the Town Common and at the Middle School. For more details on the festivities, and ticket prices, select one of the links below.

Come and bring the whole family. You will come home with a whole bushel of your own stories to tell!
